I started this thread in the Office for Mac forum (without solution), but was advised by the moderator to try to post here. I am trying to get Excel 2016 (15.30, Office 365 subscription) to acces a filemaker database via ODBC, as a client. The database seems to communicate via ODBC and iQueryODBC can see the tables and data in the Filemaker Database. When I try to establish a link between Excel and Filemaker via ODBC (Data / Get External Data / From Database) the iODBC chooser window opens but with no functionality - DSN connections cannot be tested (nothing happens) or configured, and clicking OK to advance to Query just brings me back to the Spreadsheet, with no data.

Odbc Connections In Excel
I suspect there is some confusion with the versions of the iODBC chooser that Excel is calling up, but I do not see how I can check to see that its 64 bit and, if its not, how I can force Excel to use a different Data Source Chooser that is 64 bit. However, have you tried referring to the instructions into see if we can verify its bit version using file command? Besides, a new (Version: 15.31.0, Build 17021600) has been released on February 16, 2017. I'm needing to extract data into Excel. I've been using office '97 for years to do this, but recently migrated the office to Mac. It appears new versions of Excel don't come with the ODBC (or other) database.
Hi,I am not sure what the policy re announcements is but I thought some of the mac users on this forum would be interested in an AVR simulator that I have been working on. The simulator is very much a work in progress ( including missing instructions ) but I thought I'd release a preview version to show it off.
The simulator is called MacSimAVR. The simulator lets you load a hex file into a simulated generic AVR and watch your code execute. You can set code breakpoints to stop the processor and examine the AVR registers, I/O ports and ram, and you can also step through the code one instruction at a time or set it to auto step at an adjustable speed.
The main window features separate panels allow you to view the processor internals. These panels include; a disassembled instruction panel with an instruction pointer hiliting the current instruction and breakpoint column; a processor panel showing the contents of registers, the status register, the stack pointer, and the X, Y and Z registers; the I/O registers panel for the registers and ports and, a memory panel to view contents of sram.
