DepEd has released the eligibility standards for incoming Kindergarten and Grade 1 for School Year 2019 – 2020.
This includes the Deped Age Requirement for Kindergarten and Grade 1. Only eligible students – those within the cut-off age and with complete documentary requirements will be accepted for enrollment.
DepEd Enrolment Requirements for Kindergarten:
Age qualification for Kindergarten learners in both public and private schools should be five (5) years old by June 1 of every calendar year. However, the school may consider learners entering Kindergarten who will turn five (5) years old by the end of August on the condition that the Philippine Early Childhood Development (ECD) Checklist must. Department of Education.
Incoming Kindergarten must strictly comply with the cut-off age policy stated in DO 47, s. 2016, as ammended by DO 20, s. 2018
Documentary requirements: Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Birth Certificate. NSO Birth Certificate will also be accepted
DepEd Enrolment Requirements for Grade 1:
Documentary requirements: Kindergarten Certificate of Completion, PSA/NSO Birth Certificate, Progress Report
Documentary requirements: Results of ECCD Assessment Checklist, PSA/NSO Birth Certificate, Certificate of Completion of KCEP
Documentary requirements: Results of PEPT or PVT, PSA/NSO Birth Certificate, Certificate of Completion
